A Pair Of Early 19th Century French Bronze Egyptian Revival Candlesticks. Each stick is modelled as a semi-nude woman raised on a circular base with a leaf formed sconce to the top of her head.
Egyptian art and iconography became popular in France during the early part of the 19th century due to Napoleons invasion of Egypt earlier in the previous century.
