An early Victorian Country House Child's Monogrammed Doll Carriage. The carriage is wholly original, retaining its black paint, gold painted trim and monogrammed sides, with wooden spoked wheels that have brass hubs. There is also a detachable leather storm apron to the top front. To find an unrestored piece of this quality and condition is extremely rare. The carriage is designed to be used by a child and to be pushed from the back with wheel type From Clifton Parker Brothers era. Having originally come from a stately country house, it would now make a wonderful display piece for a doll or teddy bear in a private collection or for a shop window display.
Dimensions
Total Width: 53cm
Total Length: 100cm
Handle Height: 72cm
Condition
Some light flecking to the paint in parts. Back cushion internally is no longer there. Some stress to the leather and tears to the fabric internally.
There is no significant damage to the piece and all wear is generally commensurate with age and use. Considering this I would deem the carriage as a whole to be in good unrestored condition.
