A Victorian Elkington Silver plated on copper Electrotype Plaque 'The Pompeian Lady' By Leonard Morel Ladeuil. The plaque shows a Pompeian lady reclining on a couch atennded by her servants, behind them are three fluted columns and various foliage. Signed to the front; 'Morel-Ladeuil 1876' and 'Elkingtons'. To the rear is engraved 'Registrirt In Den Oesterreichischen Kaiserstraaten Zahl 10.297' 'Registrirt Im Deutschen Reich No.27 BD.1 BL.114' 'Depose En France' 'Design Copyrighted In The United States. November IX76' Also engraved is the lozenger registration mark as well as Elkington punch marks, the numbers '15428' and ' Elkington & Co'.
