An antique 1781 hand coloured map of West Florida by Thomas Kitchen Snr. It was in this year that the Spanish defeated the British at Pensacola and took control of the region. Thomas Kitchin Senior was an English engraver and cartographer who went on to become hydrographer to the king. He was most notable for his map work around Central America and wrote a history of The West Indies.
