An antique 19th century French bronze figure of a skater after Aime Millet 1819-91.  The figure can be seen smiling as he reaches down to tie the laces of his skates. The veil between sculpture and realality is played with here as a piece of string can be added for the laces, bringing the figure to life before your eyes. Raised on a yellow marble stepped base.
