An Erhard & Söhne Jugendstil Rosewood & Brass German Art Nouveau Jewell Box C1900.
 
Beautifully brass inlaid rosewood, in a classic Art Nouveau shape and style. The box retains it's original key which unlocks the box allowing it to open and reveal the gold fabric lined interior. 
The box could be used to house jewels or as a keepsake box, making an impressive addition to any dresser or sideboard.
 
Erhard & Sohne was founded in 1844 by Carl Gottlieb Erhard and his two sons in Schwäbisch Gmünd, they are particularly known for designing and creating fashionable accessories, employing some of the best craftsmen of the time.
