Three large specimen pieces of Miocene Era polished petrified wood. The specimens are around 6 million years old and originate from Indonesia. Each piece has it's own individual pattern and colouration to create an impressive naturalistic display. The petrification is formed over millions of years as silica enters the wood under pressure. The grey piece on the left and the centre piece are both polished on every side, the brown specimen on the right is polished on every side but the rear. The polishing gives the wood a hard, smooth, lustrous stone finish.
Each specimen stands individually in its respective root wood base.
